Palaeoproterozoic gold occurrence, locally enriched in base metals.

Comprises two major lodes, Pässärinvuori and Lepomäki, which occur along the sheared, E- to ENE-trending, contact zone between a synorogenic granodiorite batholith and felsic to intermediate volcanic rocks. The ore is hosted by all these rock types. The tourmalinised, potentially auriferous domain is kilometres long. Gold is associated with arsenopyrite, both in the veins and host rocks.
