Located 200 kilometres north-east of Carnarvon and 90 kilometres north of Gascoyne Junction.
The site is reported to produced an attractive ornamental stone, containing blue sapphire, although it is difficult to polish. The matrix of muscovite contains sapphire as bladed sheaves, individual crystals and fragments, being opaque and from dark to medium blue to violet. Generally Western Australia does not produce any gem quality sapphire.
