Large forestry quarry opened in Precambrian siltstones and slates, once worked for building stone. There are pyritic zones and lenses with pyrite cubes to 5 mm set into the slate, also button-like concretions to 30 mm with one side being round with the top crystallized.

The quarry was completely rehabilitated around 2011, all faces have been covered with loose rock and soil and trees planted. Some minor specimens can still be found.
