Stratigraphic Name: Negaunee Iron Formation

Description: Highly metamorphosed banded iron-formation. Principal iron-formation in Marquette trough and nearby areas. Includes abundant metadiabase sills.

Comments: Continental margin assemblage (north of Niagara Fault)

Lithology: Major:{banded iron formation}, Minor:{metadiabase}
