Limestone lens with complicated and uncertain stratigraphy and geological setting belong to Silesian Unit. Most of the limestones are Upper Jurasic (Tithonian) age, but Cretaceous sediments are also present. In the present time only one quarry is active (at Kotouč hill, Kotouč quarry), others are long time abandoned (Zámecký quarry, Obecní quarry, Horní Skalka quarry and Bluchers quarries). Large vugs filled with calcite crystals could be found from time to time.
