Hydrothermalite (hydrothermalised serpentinite) in the bed of the brook Rondanera brook (or Rondinera), embedded in rocks of the Palombini limestone-shale sequence at the boundary with the Brugnello clays (Bobbio Formation).

The mineral locality can be reached from Bobbio by driving to Marsaglia (Corte Brugnatella town hall). After 500 metres, cross the bridge on the Trebbia river and turn right towards Brugnello, drive about 700 meters and, before the right-hander, park on the left side of the brook Rondanera. Follow the path for a few meters and find a river dike, cross the brook and beside the small dam there is a large boulder of “hydrotermalite", in which millerite, pyrite, etc. are found.
