Weirs vein appears to leave the footwall side of Bay vein extending N-S from its junction for 1/2 mile. The vein was proved when Whytes Cleugh Level was driven. In the 1950s two veins were found at the expected location of Weirs vein. In the 160fm crosscut east from New Glencrieff Shaft.
