Grotta di Entella, a gypsum cave about 900 m long, is located on the northern slope of Rocca di Entella, a mountain in proximity of the confluence of the right and left branch of River Belice, in Messinian evaporites. The cave is developed mainly along the strikes of two fault systems.

Great clear and translucent gypsum crystals and thin layers of fibrous gypsum (sericolite variety) can be found along the fault plains.
