Lwam-taung (Sentimental eye mountain) is located South of Injauk village and West of Lay-bauk pass at an elevation of about 1840 m. Mining started in 2014, mainly by driving vertical shafts into the mountain slope to access the eluvial deposit. The minerals are mostly bad quality spinel and sapphire, as well as topaz (Schillhammer, 2015, personal observation).
