A small quarry in heavily faulted basalt yielding a variety of mineral species similar to other localities in New Britain. Calcite-dolomite-quartz-barite-metal sulfide-aragonite-bitumen hydrothermal mineralogy occurs within steeply-dipping faults spaced every few meters. Pumpellyite-prehnite-datolite-anhydrite-gypsum-calcite-zeolite mineralogy occurs in vesicles in the basalt. Locality is private property and closed to collecting. No trespassing.
