Located about 1 kilometre south of the Prickley's gold mine.
It was a very shallow small pit, where gold had been accessed from a near surface laterite deposit. It was mined briefly in 1997. Another source states former owner Barrick was seeking mining approval in 2004 at the site.
Dampier Gold took over the Plutonic leases, and exploration reports from 2011-2015 call it Budgie, Budgie-Cinnamon, and the Budgie Corridor. Cinnamon appears to be a prospect near the small Budgie pit. While there has been much fanfare in the local media, the reports talk about anomalies over a lengthy period of time, and such things do not always lead to operating mines. However, former owner Barrick, was a high cost producer, and these smaller leaner operators are hoping to find some profit on the leases.
