The Lauvåsvatnet deposit consist of two small hills covering an area of 150 x 200m.

The localities for anorthosite with labradorite showing schiller effect (labradorescence) is located both in the municipalities of Hå and Eigersund. There are currently (2015) two active quarries for labradorescenct anorthosite for ornamental use, the Krokavatnet Southeast in Eigersund, and Sørskog in Hå. The area is extensively mapped and several localities have been identified. The anorthosite from here is sold as " Blue Antique" or " Labrador Antique".
