The Cinderella Gold Mine is a historic location from the 1890's, and a modern prospect so far un-developed by a modern open pit. It is located just south of the New Holland mine, 3 kilometres west of Agnew.

It was active from the 1890's by Harry Poole, before mining was abandoned around 1906. The five head battery at the mine crushed for local prospectors and was subsidised by the government to do so. Poole continued operating the battery until 1915. The site was better known at the time as Poole's Battery than the Cinderella lease. (GML 645).

In 1908, he was riding his bicycle from the mine to Lawlers during a heavy thunderstorm and was struck by lightning. He was un-hurt. Poole's, father-in-law, J.C. Richards worked at the battery until he was aged 90.

In 1916, G.W. White is owner of the battery, but no crushings were found subsequent, and the battery is thought to have closed. The gold boom of the 1930's, saw some mining take place at the lease by prospectors.
