The Blue Moon Gold Mine is in the far north-east section of the goldfield, east of the Burtville open pit. In 1905 the lease was applied for by James Charles Anderson, Alan Stapledon, Cyril Blaker, and Bryce Bunny, prospectors involved with several other mines on the field. GML 1666T, 15 acres.
Before this Ginger Mick controlled the mine. Said to have obtained at one point one of the richest crushings on the field from the mine. However, virtually nothing was found on mining during his time. Various other non-mining information was found. He played cricket at Burtville, was left handed, crashed on a bend on the Laverton-Burtville Road with broken legs and concussion, worked for the Western Australian Railways, and later in life was a farmer in New South Wales.
