The Eileen is a small abandoned open pit just south of the former townsite of Davyhurst. It was developed by Wallace and Richard Evans from around 1899 to 1905.

From November 1901 to February 1902, the Boulder No1 Company from the Golden Mile Kalgoorlie paid the owners 1000 pounds for a three month sampling option. The purchase price was 10 000 pounds, but the company declined and left.

Wallace and Evans continued crushing, and it paid costs. 12 acres. A battery was on the property.

The Moss brothers purchased the many thousands of tonnes of tailings at the mine in 1907, to be re-processed at the Golden Pole plant. It is noted the mine is active again in 1909, with Wallace returning, this time with mining partner Stubber. They uncovered a new small shoot at the 100 foot level. Brown and party were active in 1910, re-naming the lease the Lone Hand briefly.

Carey and party put through 10 and 9 tonne parcels across 1937 to 1938.

The mine accessed a large irregular lode, running north north-west to south south-east, dipping 60 degrees west. The lode body is soft highly decomposed dolerite schist, 6 to 8 feet wide. Through this was considerable amounts of disseminated quartz as bunches and small veins, with no defined walls to the lode. At one placed the lode was 20 feet wide. The main shaft reached a depth of 200 feet, at which point the country becomes very hard.

The pit was developed at some point after 1986, but more information is needed.
