Originally shown as Eldorado however this site is the Mayday North Mine.

[The initial commentary stated that the Eldorado "was discovered in 1906 by Craig and Thatcher, who presented fifty flour sacks of specimen gold for their efforts. A rush ensued, on what was largely an alluvial area, underlaid by some small reefs. One claim was said to have produced 4000 pounds worth money-wise in gold in a short space of time.

A dispute then arose when the alluvial leases were over-pegged by Murphy and party, interested in the reefs. It was generally accepted at the time, these leases could not be pegged until the alluvial ground had been worked out. Litigation followed which reached the High Court. The alluvial prospectors won the case.

Despite being said to be very rich in gold, it was abandoned by 1908. In 1910, prospectors Cable, Kelly and Daniels from Kurnalpi deepened the old Power's shaft from 70 to 100 feet, discovering a couple of rich patches. Initially 151 ounces was dollied, including one piece that weighed 70 ounces."]
