Explored by Mineral Sands Limited in 2007. The company uncovered significant areas of mineral sands, 1 to 2 kilometres wide, striking for a length of 10 kilometres on a tenement called Pioneer. 1.3% HM containing 90-96% ilmenite and 3-10% zircon. The exploration company states the deposit is sub-economic.
