A thorianite deposit situated east of the town Tranomaro in the southeastern part of Madagascar. Delbos found here in 1954 crystals of hibonite in a plagioclasite embedded in a pyroxenite. The hibonite -bearing rock formed a 50 cm thick vein which was, at the time possible to follow for several 10s of meters. This was the 2. known locality for this species.
