An emerald mine discovered in 1989. Listed in Schwartz (1994, cited from Thomas 1993) as being one of the emerald mines in the area around the Morafeno emerald mine.
The village of Ambodibonary (close to the mine ?) is located in the Antsenavolo commune.
This needs to be verified.

The emerald mineralisation occurs within phlogopitite developed at the contact between pegmatite and basic/ultrabasic rocks, characterised by pegmatites intruding highly folded and boudinaged amphibolites.
