Cancelli di Gioia or Quarry no. 166, partly exploited underground, is characterised by an area (left side of the quarry) rich in dm-sized vugs, containing large crystals of quartz (up to 5-6 cm) grown on calcite or dolomite. Cubic crystals of fluorite, up to 1 cm in size, have been rarely found.
