Diorite dike. ref: MacFall, 1951. Gem Hunter's Guide, 1st ed. NOTE: There are two sets of coordinates for Beaver Creek in Gunnison Co. (either different extremes of one creek or two creeks).
0.5mi NE of Lot Mine.

Actually, the location has little to do with Beaver Creek, due to an error in transcribing the original citation (Larsen and Hunter, 1914) into the Dana series of mineral guides. The reference relative to the Lot Mine is correct and more useful. (R. Peter Richards, 12/7/2010).
