Note: Chillagoe was previously shown under Tablelands Region when Mareeba Shire was amalgamated with three other shires (Atherton, Eacham and Herberton) to form the Tablelands Region in 2008.

Mareeba Shire de-amalgamated from the Tablelands Region with effect from 1 January 2014. Accordingly Chillagoe and mines located here should now be shown as being in Mareeba Shire.
