Colour: Rose (Ti-rich): Blue to purple
Description: Ti-poor and High Ti-rich dumortierites. - The blue and purple variety as > 2 mm large grains closely associated with borasilite, and as prisms 1 cm in length. - Rose coloured Ti-rich variety as grains and aggregates up to 6mm across.

Hercynite
Formula: Fe2+Al2O4
Description: Hercynite-quartz high-grade assemblages (Belongs to M2 assemblage)(cf. Eur. J. Mineral. , 1991, 3, pp. 367-386). Replaces sillimanite and envelopped by cordierite or plagioclase. Composite grains with magnetite, surrounded by cordierite or enclosed within osumilite.
