Chromite var. Aluminian Chromite
Formula: Fe(Cr,Al)2O4
Description: Al-rich chromite (52.9 mol% chromite, 36.2 mol% spinel) is distinct from other more standard chromite (78.3 mol% chromite, 9.8 mol% spinel) found elsewhere within the host (Gomes & Keil,1980).
