Abandoned granophyre quarries located in Val Cavallizza, to the south of Cavagnano.

The quarries, operated at the beginning of the 20th century, include a group of two contiguous quarries in the locality of Mirabello, respectively named Cava Togn (or Togni) and Cava Zepp or collectively Mirabello quarry (quarry bottom at 520 m a.s.l.), and another quarry (quarry bottom at 470 m a.s.l.), whose steep dump hangs over the Cavallizza stream bed, located about 200 m SW of the Mirabello ones. This apparently unnamed quarry, sometimes referred to as Cavallizza quarry, is locally known among the mineral collectors as "Tourmaline quarry" (Cava delle tormaline), due to the relative abundance of tourmaline. Arsenopyrite and carbonates are also quite frequent. Some of the best specimens of bazzite recovered from the granophyre of Cuasso al Monte have been found on the dump of this quarry. Some hollow bazzite crystals have also been observed and sometimes the walls of their internal cavity are lined with tiny bertrandite crystals. The presence of mimetite is reported by Guastoni et al. (2008) from a quarry locally known among collectors as "Cava di Ratt" (i.e. Mirabello quarry).
