A loose boulder with clinozoisite crystals (originally thought to be piemontite) were found here in a forested area near the hill Orrkjølen (Årkjølen) by the late Arne Moløkken (Garmo 2017). The area with the best clinozoisite is now covered.

Prospecting were done in the area in the 1990s, and a 20 m thick x 120 m long, platy body of a thulite-rock was discovered close to a forest road in the area (Rui 1991). The locality and the identification of clinozoisite is treated by Ljøstad (2022).
