La Sal is a census-designated place (CDP) in northeastern San Juan County, Utah, United States. The name comes from the La Sal Mountains, which means "The Salt" in Spanish.

La Sal is located at 38°18′8″N 109°16′7″W.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 46.0 square miles (119.1 km²), of which 45.8 square miles (118.7 km²) is land and 0.2 square mile (0.4 km²) (0.35%) is water.
