Village located in the valley between Carn Brea hill and Four Lanes hill.

Home to much of the Basset mine workings.

Carnkie is a village in west Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated approximately one and a half miles southwest of Redruth. It is in the civil parish of Carn Brea.

The village is built largely along the Great Flat Lode (a massive mineral trail that was extensively mined), and is surrounded by numerous derelict mine buildings, most of which were built by the mining magnate, Lord de Dunstanville and Basset.
