Ordinary chondrite (H4)
Find, 1937; 6.8 kg

A single stone was found. Inspections reveal distinct chondrules, chondrule fragments, and Fe-Ni metal within a moderately equilibrated and sometimes weathered matrix. Compositionally, mostly equilibrated olivine (Fa20) and roughly equilibrated low Ca-pyroxene are characteristic of H4-chondrites. Mineralogically, the meteorite consists primarily of dominant olivine and pyroxene along with minor plagioclase, troilite, and Fe-Ni metal. Accessory chromite and very minor copper, ilmenite, isocubanite, and mackinawite are also reported.

As with many meteorites collected by Harvey Nininger, a moderately large mass is held at the Center for Meteorite Studies [1.5938 kg in 2017].
