Outcrops of pyroclstic rocks, to the southeast of Oricola. These outcrops, part of a larger volcanic field situated in the Oricola-Carsoli intermontane basin, are located in the Colle San Vito area; along Fosso Rientro; along the left side of Fosso Fioio, aligned in a NNW-SSE direction, to the SE of Rocca di Botte and to the south of Fontanile Brecciaro at the border with the municipal territory of Camerata Nuova (Roma Province, Latium). For general information on the volcanic field, see https://www.mindat.org/loc-297250.html.

The outcrops almost totally consists of reddish tuffs (San Giovanni red tuffs), mainly made of red lapilli tuffs, with dunal features or parallel surge and airfall laminations. A compact facies of the grey tuffs (Oricola Scalo grey tuffs) rarely appears.
