A small quarry at the side of a moore visited June 2022 (RW).
The pegmatite is coarse grained with brown microcline feldspar, locally even dark red-brown.
Biotite in plates up to 20-30 cm in crosscut can be seen in the quarry wall.
Muscovite is present in marginal quantities.
Some small cavitities in the feldspar and quartz might indicate that hydrothermal activity has taken place, but could also be the result of weathering.
