Massive sulphide mineralization discovered in 1960 by Falconbrdige.

The deposit lies in metasedimentary rocks of the Shuswap metamorphic complex on the northwest flank of the Frenchman Cap Gneiss Dome.

Pegmatite and medium-grained granitic rocks make up more than 50% of the outcrops. These rocks represent mainly if not entirely partial melting of the metasediments.
