Description: Found as crystal veins cutting the baryte, also as crystalline masses between baryte crystals. Crystals rarely exceeds 1 cm. Dark blue green crystal crusts on white baryte can produce some strikingly beautiful pieces.

Hydrohalite occurs as a phase in the liquid inclusions below - 7 C degrees, and dissociate again at - 7 to 0,8 degrees C. Hydrohalite, will thus (theoretically) occure naturallly in the upper parts of the granite during cold winter months.
