A large tin mine which operated on Main Lode, extending 3/4 mile W of St Blazey Highway on the north side of the main road. Engine Shaft, to the 180fm level, is open with a large engine house on private land which can be seen from a footpath leading up from a cul-de-sac off the main road. Other dumps exist in woods to the east but these are also in private land. To the north of Main Lode is New Wheal Eliza which is now obscured and mainly worked from crosscuts from Main Lode.
