Pegmatite in Equador formation quartzite. Known for its "Paraiba tourmaline" (cuprian elbaite). A detailed characterisation of a blue-green tourmaline by Sugiyama et al. (2017) showed it be a fluor-elbaite.

Located 9 km south (southwest) of the city of Parelhas.
