These anatases occur on quartz in a slate area very close to La Baña lake, in the vicinity of the León province portion of Peña Trevinca, a mountain located on the boundary between the provinces of Orense, Zamora and León. A few years ago anatases appeared that, although at first they were labeled as coming from Peña Trevinca in Carballeda de Valdeorras, Orense province, they were later assigned to La Baña lake (Lago de la Baña), Encinedo, in León province.
