Three iron mines and one prospect north of the Bjortjenn lake.
Simonson describes the deposit as iron ore in gneis, probably magnetite, though Simonsen didn't specify that.
Simonsen reports that from the largest mine there is an 11,6 m long extension til under the lake.
The nr. 2. and 3. localities reach a depth of 33 m.
500 m to the west the Lyngroth mine can be found, in the Froland municipality.
Both mines are situated in the same zone zone.
The coordinates are given for a spot about in the middle of the mines, at a spot where there used to be a horse mill.
