Monte Bruno is a hillock, that rises about 10 m above the surrounding alluvial plain, located near the Sanctuary of Madonna di Monte Bruno along the left bank of Pellice stream (about 70 m from the stream bed).

This outcrop of the (Permo)-Carboniferous cover of the Dora Maira crystalline massif consists of a light-coloured gneiss, characterized by individual grains of K feldspar and quartz "eyes" embedded in a fine-grained matrix composed of cataclastic quartz and subordinate K feldspar, albite, and phengite. Stilpnomelane is present as an accessory mineral.
