A former U-V occurrence/mine located about 15 km E of La Sal, on the SW slope of Hideout Mesa, La Sal Creek Canyon area (2.3 miles WNW of highway 46 crossing of the Utah-Colorado state line). Owned by Ray Small, Nucla, Colorado; Owned by Allied Mission Oil Co.; owned by Lark Washburn, Colorado (1974). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

Mineralization is a sedimentary U-V deposit hosted in Late Jurassic mudstone, sandstone of the Salt Wash Member of the Morrison Formation, and conglomerate. The ore body is lenticular, podiform, blanket-like (mantos), and tabular. It strikes NNW and/or N45W, dips 7E and/or 2N, at 1.2 meters or 1.83 meters thick, either 38.1 or 46 meters wide, either 39.62 meters or 183 meters long, and with a depth-to-bottom of 18.29 meters and a depth-to-top of 549 meters [probably 5.49 meters] [discrepant data extracted from 2 USGS MRDS database files]. Primary ore control was lithology Other controls included paleochannel(s). Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and colluvium.

Local geologic structures include the La Sal Creek Syncline.

Workings include underground openings with a length of 4,573 meters and an overall depth of 18.29 meters.
