The Monte Costa quarry has been occasionally exploited in recent years. Located on the northern slope of Monte Costa, close to the Ceragiola area, this quarry provided nice specimens of acicular sulfosalts (Boulangerite), Sphalerite, and intergrowths of Galena and Pyrite, at the end of the 2000s. All the querries from Seravezza basin could provide important specimens of sulfides and sulfosalts. Unfortunaly, as in the case of the Monte Costa quarry, the activity can be only occasional and consequently to find nice new specimens is a rare opportunity
Arsenopyrite (reported by Orlandi et al, 1996) was found as rare sub-millimetric prismatic crystals.
Nice specimens of galena with tabular crystals up to 1mm grown on pyrite were found in 2010 by E. Michelucci.
