Evans Huskon #34
An U-V occurrence located in the approximate W-central sec. 9, T29N, R10E, G&SRM, about 8.2 km (5.1 miles) ENE of Cameron. This locality is not listed in the USGS MRDS database. The geographic coordinates presented are approximate to the center of the western half of the center of sec. 9.
Mineralization is an U-V deposit hosted in sandstone of the upper Petrified Forest Member of the Chinle Formation. The ore is of the carnotite-type.
Workings include surface openings comprised of small pits.
Production was 1,853 tons of ore @ 0.16% U3O8; 0.04% V2O5 (1957).
