According to data gathered from MineralienAtlas, PicClick, eBay, and several dealers' websites (please see External Links below), some open veins in a mountainside outcrop in the vicinity of the village of Cullhuay, in the Huaros District about 15 km North-East of the town of Canta, have been recently (2018-2019) worked to get a number of nice specimens of axinite, epidote, garnet and quartz, as you can see in several photos posted at Mindat. Although somebody may think it is the actual locality where the excellent specimens of axinite-(Mn) and epidote were found in September 2015, labeled as coming from the town of Canta, a communication (Aug 12th, 2019) from a known dealer expert on Peruvian minerals said "The deposits [Canta and Cullhuay] are close, but the veins are different".
