Mina Troya, Mutiloa, Guipúzcoa (Gipuzkoa), Pais Vasco, España
The Troya mines were mined for lead and zinc ore, last by Exminesa from 1986 to 1993.
The method was mining underground by galleries and pillars.
Now this mine is flooded and closed.
The deposit was a Mississippi valley type lead-zinc sulphide deposit in a karstic limestone.
The tabular stratabound ore body was associated with the upper contact of the upper Cretaceous "Urgonian" reefal limestone which is karstic.
