A former Mn mine located in the NE¼ sec. 16, T11N, R12W, GSRM. Owned by Tate.
Mineralization is pyrolusite and psilomelane in 6 to 12 foot lensing layers in Tertiary sandstone overlying a sill-like basalt member.
Workings include an open pit. Production was a small amount of low grade manganese ore in 1953.
