A former underground Cu-Au-Ag mine located in the NW¼ sec. 28, T3N, R20W, on patented (private) land. Owned at times, or in part, by the Arizona Operating Co.; Clausen; and, Hussen. Operated by Kennecott.

Mineralization is high-grade streaks and pods of tetrahedrite and free gold in vein dikes of quartz along a strong shear or fault zone cutting metamorphosed Mesozoic limy sediments.

This mine was worked sporadically from the early 1910's through 1941 from tunnels and a shaft. It produced some 100 tons of ore averaging about 19% Cu, 1.6 oz. Au/T, and 27 oz. Ag/T. During the 1984-1986 period, Kennecott performed a geologic evaluation and surface drilling project at this site.
