A Au-Ag-Pb-Cu-Zn mine located in South-central sec. 7, T.23S., R.11E., near Ruby. Owned at times, or in part, by the Arizona Gold Mining & Milling Co.; the Arizona Ophir Mining Co.; Foote; and, Pesano.
Mineralization is flat-dipping, siliceous bed having a quartz core bordered by zones of quartz veinlets and abundant pyrite containing sparse base metal sulfides. Oxidation and supergene enrichment has produced high-grade gold and silver values in iron oxide. Chalcanthite has been found.
Workings are shallow adit and open cut workings. Prospected and worked sporadically since the 1880's. Production would be some 700 tons of ore averaging about 0.4 oz. Au/T, 1 oz. Ag/T and minor Cu & Pb.
