Iron mine registered as cultural heritage site in the Kristiansand municipality.
Discovered in 1780 and in full operation in 1790.
The ore was smelted in the Vigelands Jernverk, a smelter in Vennesla.
The smelter closed in 1795, which might very well have been the end of this mine too.
An aerial picture of 1973 shows no visible signs of mining, though the altitude map suggests structures that could be a small quarry and an adit.
