Deposit: Metavolcanics on east and granodiorite on west. Extensive quartz vein system with most workings in the granodiorite, on n-trending veins. Small adit follows a n10 W vein dipping 10 w; this vein was open-stoped along E side of hill for 200 ft (sample 2928). Adit and incline near millsite explored several veins (n10w) in granodiorite (sample 2929). Locally, there are pods of black tourmaline adjacent to or near contact zones. Vein material has been sorted and stacked in piles. Only visible mineralization in veins is pyrite and Fe oxides.

Deposit type: Epithermal vein, Comstock

Development: Lots of recent local prospecting activity, staking, but no activity at time of examination in 1985. Many generations of claim posts. Road is very old and built by hand.

Ore(s): Igneous Contact
