Outcrops of Tertiary basalts near the summit of the Kalbe. Located in the central Meißner range, northwest of Schwalbenthal. Meißner is both the name of a NE-SW trending mountain range in northern Hesse and of a municipality, which encompasses much of the eastern part of this range.
