A set of 9 feldspar-mica-Be claims (Hummingbird Nos. 1, 2 & 3; Whitebird Nos. 1, 2 & 3; and the Fool's Gold Nos. 1, 2 & 3. Located in approximate T.39N., R.15W., on the North side of Virgin Peak (Bunkerville Mountain) at 4,550 feet of altitude. Claimed Feb 13, 1949 and owned by the Belle Hope Mines, Ltd.

Mineralization is a series of 3 pegmatite dikes to 750 feet long and 1 to 5 feet wide, concordant to mica schist, underlain by Precambrian metamorphic and igneous rocks comprising mica-garnet schist, interlayered amphibolite & quartz-mica schist, and granitic augen gneiss.

Between the prospect and the base of the range, 2 miles to the North, the exposures consist of steeply dipping, probably tightly folded, schist and amphibolite, with a general northeasterly strike, containing many concordant thin sills of pegmatite. Pegmatite bodies to 4 feet thick are common.

Workings include 3 prospect pits 15 feet (5 meters) maximum depth.
